Home ›Alpine Meadows Remodel / An Elevated View

Designed by Kristi Thompson, MWA, Inc. Architecture-Engineering
The original objective was a simple remodel of an existing home, but the project grew into a piece of art nestled in the beauty of Alpine Meadows.
This remodel is in harmony with its surroundings in terms of its architecture and craftsmanship, and also because the home is now a better reflection of the family that owns it and better supports the way they live.
In terms of sustainability, we used various environmentally-friendly materials, including reclaimed wood and locally-sourced granite, no VOC paints, hardwood floors, wool carpeting for the downstairs bedrooms and highly-breathable, naturally mildew-resistant plasters in the main living spaces. We also revegetated the property surrounding the home with native plants and grasses.
